Dear friends,

Six years ago, Route Werks started as a Kickstarter campaign and an idea about how a handlebar bag should work. Today I'm writing to share some hard news: we've decided to shut the company down. 

There's no single reason. The cycling industry has been through a rough few years, and the everyday challenges of running a small brand- sourcing, shipping, inventory, cash flow- have only gotten steeper. We fought through as long as we responsibly could, but our time has come to an end. 

Here's what that means for you:

Starting today, Tuesday, September 8th, everything we have left goes on sale while supplies last. That includes both of our handlebar bags and all of our accessories. If there's something you've been eyeing, or a spare you'd want on hand for the years ahead, this is the time. We'll ship orders through our final day, October 31, when we close for good.

Many of you backed us before a single bag existed. You trusted a small company with your gear and your rides, sent us photos from bikepacking routes to morning commutes & everything in between, and told your friends. None of this existed without you, and I'm proud of what we built together.
