I was born in the UK and moved to NJ when I was young. Bikes always made moves easier, giving me a way to explore my surroundings. I raced mountain bikes beginning in the early nineties and continued through college in Vermont. As I got older and moved around, including time in Japan and Africa, bicycle riding and the community around it have always helped me meet new friends. In 2015 I founded the VeloPigs Beer and Bicycle Social Club. A few years later, my wife and I moved from Connecticut to Northern Virginia, where I continued building the VeloPigs. The club now offers weekly gravel rides with 60+ participants, regular social gatherings, community service and the occasional special event.
