Materials

Are your bags waterproof? Our bags are made of durable, water-repellent materials and lined with waterproof coatings to protect your essentials. However, these bags are sewn goods, which keeps us from saying they’re completely waterproof. Instead, we like to say that they’re 100% weatherproof and recommend that you don’t go swimming with them! We’ve ridden in torrential downpours and driving rain, and our bags keep contents dry as a bone.

Tech + Accessory Integration

The Tech Mount on the top of the bag accepts the Quad Lock Integrated mount as well as the K-edge standard and the Bar Fly standard when using the appropriate Route Werks Adapter Plate.

To mount your phone to our bag, you can use any of the Quad Lock phone cases or adhesive adapters or use an adapter that matches your computer setup (e.g. Garmin, Wahoo). Once you have an adapter mounted to the top of our bag, an adhesive adapter (e.g. the KOM Cycling Phone Adapter or Quad Lock Phone Mount Universal Adaptor) can be put onto any standard phone case. We’ve found that less textured cases are better for adhesion.

Lights and accessories can be mounted on The Handlebar Bag via the Handlebar Stub that threads right into the M5 Accessory Mounts on either side of the bag. A headlight could also be attached via a compatible Bar Fly or K-Edge style adapter to the Tech Mount on the rigid lid dashboard. The Handlebar Bag is designed to allow full functionality of the bars including having enough space to still attach bar-mounted accessories.

Warranty and Repairs

We offer a 1 year warranty on manufacturing defects from the date you received your bag. Remember we are people, not a big corporation, so we’ll work with you if you have any issues. Please reach out if you encounter any issues, and we will assess its coverage under our warranty. Please note that this warranty does not cover damages due to user crash, abuse, system alteration, modification, or use in any way not intended.

For repairs outside of warranty, please shoot us a message at info@routewerks.us we’ll work with you to find a solution.

Returns

You can return any product purchased from our web store within 30 days from the date of receipt as long as the item is in the same condition it was received. Please pack items securely and use the carrier of your choice to ship returns to:

Shipping

Do you ship worldwide? Yes! Shipping and transit time will be calculated at checkout based on your address. Please note that state and local sales taxes or import duties may be applied by your local authority. We are legally required to declare the full transaction value of the contents of all packages.

How accurate are shipping times? Delivery arrival times are estimates only and are subject to change. Due to current worldwide shipping impacts, estimated delivery time can be up to 2 months (excluding Customs clearance), rather than the standard 1 to 4 weeks as normally expected.

Who is responsible for duties and taxes? Duties, taxes and other fees are determined by the customs agency within the destination country and are the responsibility of the recipient. UK Customers: These fees are included in your shipping charges and no additional duties are due upon delivery. All Other Countries: These fees will be due at the time of delivery and are non-refundable. If the recipient fails to pay applicable duties and taxes, the package will be abandoned and Route Werks will not refund the abandoned order, including shipping charges and fees. We cannot reliably predict what, if any, import duty or tax might be charged. The amount will vary based on the destination country, item(s), and the shipping method. Contact your local Customs Office with any questions you may have.

Is shipping trackable? Yes, once an order departs our warehouse we send you a tracking number you can use to locate your order.

UK TAX INFO

For the time being we advise splitting bag and accessory purchases into separate orders. Paying for two shipments will be significantly cheaper than the additional taxes a combined shipment will incur.
