I have had the smaller bag for about 2 years. When I noticed that the new was out, I decided to try it. And what a delight! I used it for my trip to France this month and it is a perfect fit for me and my camera. One thing that I cannot explain in detail with the bigger bag is it seems to be stiffer. When I compere the video shots between the small and the large, they are more "stable". That is a defiant value for me

A friend had the original bag and I was very impressed, but I knew I needed a bit more space. So I backed the Bigger Handlebar bag on kickstarter and it is fantastic. The mount is very sleek and unobtrusive, and the bag sits close to the bars. The build quality is superb, and the design is simple but feature rich. Love that you can keep some light clothing bungied up inside the top - great use of space. The pocket insert just lives in mine and is perfect for storing small things - like a battery pack, my pitlock key, bike tool, reading glasses, etc.. There is a solid amount of space in the bag. The strap is exactly what you need to carry it around off the bike - and very unobtrusive. I use the top tech mounts for my Peak Design phone mount - a front light with a garmin mount on a riser for angling - and then my Garmin touch unit. Have taken this on many rides since from in the city to gravel, including just riding the Battenkill, and it's just about perfect. Only thing I wish for is a small grab handle - though I'm not sure where one would put it. I had scoured the web for a bag like this and there is nothing as good. Happy riding!
I used the bag on my gravel bike for the Allegheny Passage/C&O 330 mile ride. It performed! Stored snacks, glasses, power block, tool block, flextail mini-pump and more all with simple access. The top of the bag made for a great cockpit setup mounting my light, phone and Garmin. All this and it has a quick release that makes it easy to remove and carry with the shoulder strap. It's the most functional part of my bike packing kit.
Love my Big Handlebar Bag! Great for keeping snacks, sunscreen, extra layers, or for a quick grocery run. Easy to install, solid attachment point, and very sturdy. Love the tech mounts for all accessories needed for any small or long distance trip.
Bag is great. We biked the bourbon trail in Kentucky this was great for all the trinkets and stuff I picked up. It's nice that it holds its shape and is super sturdy

The bag is big n stiff n heavy. It added some weight to the bike but doesn't affect any riding experience. Overall, I like it.
The NEW Big Bag arrived in an innovative smaller shipping box than the Original but, was equally organized and complete. The NEW Big Bag is a nice addition to the original and with the larger lid with it's two extra attachment points helps reduce handlebar clutter. Overall a well designed bag that works as designed and is easy to access while underway.
I have not used The Big Handlebar Bag yet but I already know it is awesome. I have tried a few bags but was always looking for something like this. Then one day I saw the Original bag on a bike and I knew I had to have one.But then I saw there was a Big Bag! This is solid,sits up and out of the way of all the cables,can be taken off in seconds and it is big.Just what I was looking for. This also has many other unique features I'm looking forward to using Thanks,Mike O

On these ratings there should be an option to indicate it was a gift, as it was. upon opening it she loved it. so I rated it high.
I love having all of my tech on top of the bag and not fighting for space on my bars. Being able to easily access everything inside the bag while I'm riding is a game changer-- hanky, chapstick, snacks, inhaler. There's plenty of room for extra layers and lots of food when out for an all day ride. It is a bit heavier than other bags I've used, and occasionally the lid doesn't snap closed all the way on the first try. It can be startling to see it bounce open unexpectedly, but these two minor complaints do not outweigh the benefits for me.
I like it so much I bought three of them. The reason I bought the one in the picture is because it matches the bike color ways better. Otherwise I have a small and large black ones. Especially like the large size now as I can carry my Nikon C8 with a 28 to 400 mm zoom telephone photo. So much easier to access it than taking it out of a backpack and get it off my bike.
Love the bag. The big bag , size, works great for my needs. It allows me to carry my camera and lenses along with snacks and extra clothing.

Really love this bag! Seen it on Kickstarter long time ago hesitant because of price. Took forever to order after kickstarter. Very nice and really nothing like it on the market. Now you guys need to make a trunk bag with built in panniers. Again really love this bag but by the time you deck it out it’s going to cost a little change.
I have a smaller bag for a while and works great. The extra space will be handy. Would love more water proofing.

I was so excited to get a chance to try the 'new' big bag from the crew @ Route Werks....this thing will be with me on many new adventures in the months ahead. Built just as amazingly as the original bag - it's just that bit bigger to help with any extras and keep more at hand on the lid as well! Well done on an excellent product!!
Just the right size.. really like it..
I use my handlebar bag for storing (and keeping at hand) my drone when backpacking. It seems to be an ideal solution, especially the way (with a Quad Lock mount) it holds the drone's remote control.
The big bag has a lot more space than the handlebar bag, which allows me to pack more gear, snacks and devices to make my ride more enjoyable! I am easily able to navigate with my Garmin front and center without getting in the way of access to the bag. The bag does not feel bigger between the hoods. I’d l highly recommend it!
I'm now able to carry things that I ride with, and take them with me when I leave/lock the bike in the big handlebar bag. Is working fine -- i just put one Garmin mount on it for now, considering one more in the future.
I think this is a great bag but wish it had small pockets sewn into the interior sides like the original bag has. They worked out perfect for my phone wallet and keys. I know they have the extra little purse you can buy but it is not like having the sewn into one’s.
You poke the bear & then poke the bear again ! So you aggravated me when I was doing my best to be nice when I replied to your request for my opinion the 1st time. So here you go. 3 months or better to get my order of $300.00+some . Yall should have spent a little more time on expediting orders , it’s not like ordering a vehicle. Ridiculous wait time for a “bag” . I expressed before the lid and accessories are well thought out and kudos to that . Otherwise it’s a “handlebar bag” that’s it. Time will tell the story of how well made your product really is . I just hope it last longer than the wait to receive the “bag” . Respectfully Jay
Im so glad i get to talk about this product! I really like the original bag, and what I found so satisfying was the closing mechanism and the sound of the latch. I use this almost everyday in the spring and summer, and I love how easily it latches on and off my bike. I’m able to walk around and flip it open quickly with one hand and also close it by flicking it forward and the lid slams shut, clicks and secures closed. I really like this about the old bag. BUT this is not the case for the new bag. The lid closing mechanism is a bit bigger and so I can’t flick it closed with one hand. I actually can’t even quickly close it with 2 hands. It takes my fingers pushing the lid down and my other hand pressing upward to make sure lid is secure. This is a list feature that comes in crucial while riding, and I won’t be able to do this while riding. I am thinking of returning this, but if possible I’d like to exchange it in hopes it’s just a one-off manufacturing error. Help me please!
I am probably have about 8 hours ride time with this bag. Last night while riding, I went over a small speed bump and the bag ejected from the bike. Before leaving on my ride the bag was secured and the cam was in the locked position. I had a lot of bumps I had to go over. I bought this bag for carrying my camera with me… I’m glad I left it in the car. The throw ruined the camera mound and scratched the hell out of my phone. What’s worse than the damage, I believe I lost faith in the security of the bag while on the bike. I definitely have a hard time trusting my camera in it. When the bag landed it exploded its contents everywhere. What are your thoughts, had this ever happened? Does the nut in the lock have to be adjusted as you ride? Thanks!
The bag was a bit hard to close, and it has come unlocked while I was riding and detached from my bike two times. It destroyed my phone glass and screen and now the bag is broken and won't stay closed. It's a great size but now I don't really trust it to keep my stuff safe (and it's annoying that the lid flaps around.)
