The Bar Fly adapter is a necessary item to secure the “TECH MOUNT” adapter to hold my GPS device. It would be good to ensure all buyers that a separate “Tech mount” adapter is a separate item when you purchase this product. (I assumed it came with it?!?)

Yay! This adapter allowed me to attach my phone to my bike using the quad lock system I'm already used to, but it's so versatile that if I swap over to a garmin style mount, I won't have to worry about my routewerks bag not being usable. It's secure and easy to set up.

These gizmos are the most valuable addition to a route werks bag. With a little creativity all 3 positions atop of the Route Werks bag can be used and all telemetry and lighting can be at your fingertips. They truly allow the Route Werks bag to achieve its maximum potential. I do recommend equipment safety straps for those off moments when one zigs and should have zagged.
I had to purchase this when it wasn’t clear that the original bag plus mounting adapters did not include both of these devices. So, extra cost for the product and for shipping unfortunately.

I ordered three of these for the top of my big handlebar bag. One of the holes on one of the mounts got stripped the first time I tried to screw in an adaptor, but because there are four holes, not two, I could just rotate it a bit and it was still usable. This did not happen with the other two, so just might've just been a dud.

The adaptor works fine, but when installing it, the plastic lid of my bag cracked although I was trying to be careful and not overtighten the screws. The crack is a hairline between the two mounting holes, and the adaptor is holding my computer fine for now, but I do worry that the lid might crack further causing the mount to fall off.
